As of Tuesday morning, Kaepernick had the most popular jersey in the entire NFL, ahead of Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz and Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, according to NFLshop.com.

Flying the battle flag of the secessionists is "heritage" and not a sign of disloyalty to 'Muricka.
Begging your state to secede from the Union also is not disloyalty.
But sitting during the anthem is.

(49,212 posts)If he heals up and gets in condition (he's recovering from surgery and to my eye he's lost a ton of muscle mass) and starts setting the world on fire they'll sit Gabbert or Ponder.
God, that was depressing to type as a lifelong Niner fan.
Next year somebody will pay him even if just for depth: there's a real shortage of QB talent in the league and somebody will bet on his physical gifts and hope he'll improve under consistent coaching and a functional front office. But that'd be at a reclamation project price tag.
In any case he's not in any danger of going back to the valley and working at the cheese factory.
