Syrian government condemns arrival of US troops

Source: Associated Press

Syria's government has denounced what it says is the entry of 150 U.S. soldiers into Syrian territory, calling it a blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty and an aggression.

A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry Thursday says the soldiers arrived to the town of Rmeilan in Syria's predominantly Kurdish province of Hassakeh in the north.

U.S. President Barack Obama announced this week the deployment of 250 more U.S. troops to Syria, saying it's an effort to keep up "momentum" in the campaign against the Islamic State group. The deployment brings to 300 the number of U.S. troops being deployed in the war-torn country.

The Syrian statement said the entry of those troops is a "rejected and illegitimate intervention that was done without the Syrian government's consent."

is - do we not bother asking the government of the country we send troops to? Have the people running the show gotten that arrogant?

I love how war is waged these days without the knowledge or consent of the people, or congress for that matter. Unless they had a secret meeting we weren't told about again.

There was another hospital bombed also, a pediatric hospital for godsake. These people are traitors to democracy, all of them.

as long as the defense contractors and big oil are pulling the strings on our DOD.

More instability = more weapons to sell, oil to burn and political bargaining chips.

Its all part of the grand plan to keep the money flowing to the 1%. at the expense of the 99%.

I will agree with "we just don't give a fuck anymore" philosophy.
They don't care about how Americans feel about this subject.

But maybe, just maybe, if we create a loud enough noise, they may at least keep the DOD budget the same and increase domestic spending? Or better yet decrease the DOD budget and use that money on America exclusively?
Could just be a pipe dream of mine.....

Peace!
