Embattled climate expert back at Pacific Institute (leaked Heartland docs)
Source: San Francisco Chronicle
Climate scientist Peter Gleick has resumed his duties as president of Oakland's Pacific Institute after three months of accusations, investigations and apologies for his decision to use trickery to obtain confidential papers from the libertarian Heartland Institute.
Gleick, a MacArthur Foundation fellow and co-founder of the institute, admitted that he had posed as a Heartland board member to get the documents, which he released to bloggers and Internet news sites.
The papers appear to show a coordinated national effort funded, at least in part, by oil interests to raise doubts about human-caused global warming -including the dissemination of school curriculum -but the Chicago-based group insists one of the memos that Gleick distributed is a phony.

That took some nerve turning the knife in the wound after they famously used it against Michael Mann to try to frame the debate that all climatologist's are fraudster's and charlatan's in cahoots to ruin the petro-chemical corporation's day.
The fact that these people (climatologist's)have the nerve to demand that corporations(innocently going about their business of making record profits and securing subsidies)clean up their messes is enough to make most CEO's want to take away the bat,the ball and close the playing field and go home because those meanies are so unfair and will not either play by their rules.
Hat tip to Peter Glieck, kick 'em even harder next time!
