Mothers of Argentina's 'disappeared' reject timing of Obama visit
Published 19/02/2016

Mr Obama is set to arrive on March 23 for a two-day visit where he will meet with President Mauricio Macri.

The following day marks the 40th anniversary of the military coup that began Argentina's 1976-1983 military dictatorship, in which thousands of suspected leftists were seized, tortured and secretly killed.

Nora Cortinas is a founding member of the group that has campaigned to find people forcibly "disappeared" by the dictatorship.

She told local radio Friday that she's "not amused" that Mr Obama's visit will coincide with the coup anniversary because the US facilitated dictatorships in South America during the 1970s.

My guess is that Obama felt he had to placate the Miami exile mafia.

It'll be sad to see him praise "Argentina's tremendous progress under President Macri's leadership" when inflation has zoomed from 23% to 38%, the private-sector has laid off 45,000 people in just two months, the country's going into debt just to pay vulture funds their 1,000% payout demands, and GDP - which was still growing by 2.8% when Cristina Kirchner left office - is falling by at least 3% (per Bloomberg).

As a former community organizer who saw first hand the effects of globalization, deregulation, and austerity on industrial communities, Obama should carefully consider whether Macri is someone he wants to heap praise on. Even Macri's wife, Juliana, is a problem: her family's garment business, "Cheeky," has been indicted for running a sweatshop - including child labor.

Thank you for posting these news, Judi. Ahead of the curve as always!

Once he's done it, he can't withdraw that horrible, horrible gesture.

What a shame.

4. New Memo: Kissinger Gave the "Green Light" for Argentina's Dirty War
Fri Feb 19, 2016, 11:26 PM
Feb 2016
In April 1977, Patt Derian, a onetime civil rights activist whom President Jimmy Carter had recently appointed assistant secretary of state for human rights, met with the US ambassador in Buenos Aires, Robert Hill. A memo recording that conversation has been unearthed by Martin Edwin Andersen, who in 1987 first reported that Kissinger had told the Argentine generals to proceed with their terror campaign against leftists (whom the junta routinely referred to as "terrorists&quot . The memo notes that Hill told Derian about a meeting Kissinger held with Argentine Foreign Minister Cesar Augusto Guzzetti the previous June. What the two men discussed was revealed in 2004 when the National Security Archive obtained and released the secret memorandum of conversation for that get-together. Guzzetti, according to that document, told Kissinger, "our main problem in Argentina is terrorism." Kissinger replied, "If there are things that have to be done, you should do them quickly. But you must get back quickly to normal procedures." In other words, go ahead with your killing crusade against the leftists.

Hilary and Obama own both the
Argentine and Kissinger horrors.

Obama CANNOT visit at that time without
the trip being totally wrapped up with the Dirty War.

Is he taking cluelessness advice from HRC?

WHAT HE WAS DOING AT 15 YRS OF AGE IS TOTALLY IRRELEVANT

As the POTUS, he is accountable for those horrific acts.
