Koch Brothers, Republicans Join Forces To Close Technology Gap On Obama, Democrats

Source: Huffington Post

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - In the 2008 presidential race, Barack Obama was famously effective in using new technologies to raise money, mobilize voters and target his message of change.

In this year's campaign, his opponents are determined to turn the tables.

Republican political operatives, some with deep financial backing from the billionaire Koch brothers and others, are unleashing about a half dozen major projects that take advantage of advanced database technologies to manage campaigns and target voters with personalized messages.

Few doubt that political parties and factions that can gain an edge in the data wars will be in a good position on election day - and could potentially build institutional advantages that will pay dividends for years to come.

And probably a couple of hundred bucks on monthly bandwidth and hosting.

The rest of the cash from his sheep goes into his pocket.

The reason the technology angle worked so well for the Dems is because their base is tech savy. Not so much for the GOP base.

The power of micromarketing has exploded over the past ten years, and the service bureaus that exist for this very purpose are politically neutral -- they'll take anyone's money.

They talk a good game but beyond their ridiculous chain emails, their demo listens to radio and watches TV.

They may try to pay for twitter sock puppets though.

It isn't their *base* that needs to be savvy, it is their party strategists.

....let them spend all their money on the selling of slick willard (the rich wall-street Mormon, understander of economies and dog abuser)

....this election is easy....the average voter should already know for whom they're going to be voting....match the pukes tit-for-tat and keep voters focused on they're initial impressions and instincts and Obama will sail to victory on election day....by late October slick-willard should look every bit as desirable as gramps was in 2008....
