LePage has halted operating funds for Land for Maine’s Future
Source: Portland Press Herald
Gov. Paul LePage has put a freeze on operational spending within the Land for Maines Future program as his administration prepares to release a comprehensive report assessing the program that distributes funds for conservation projects.
Approximately 30 applicants who are seeking funds received a letter this month from Land for Maines Future Director Sarah Demers informing them that funds for legal costs and other expenses associated with conservation projects are unavailable.
This letter is to inform you that at this time LMF funds are not available for acquisitions and legal review of due diligence items necessary to complete your project, the letter reads.
Demers said Monday that although she received no written directive from the governors office to withhold operation funds, the request did come from LePage through her boss, Department of Agriculture Commissioner Walter Whitcomb.

Maine voters overwhelmingly voted for the bonds that were supposed to buy public land under the Land for Maine's Future program.
LePew no only wants to halt these land purchases, he wants to heavily log existing public land.
3 1/2 years of this kind of nonsense to go...

Even though W didnt actually win either election for president, I held the entire country, myself included, responsible that someone like that could get close enough to steal the election
