Former Va. Gov. Jim Gilmore Files Paperwork for Presidential Run

Source: NBC News

Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore (R) has filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to run for president of the United States.

His entry into the 2016 race makes him the 17th major Republican candidate for president.

The Republican said back at the beginning of July that he planned a White House run.

"I bring to the table experience that others don't have," Gilmore said in an interview with the Richmond Times-Dispatch in July. He told the paper that he'll make his announcement during the first week of August.

Lindsay Graham should be worried; his 0.4% share might be at risk...

If Jim Gilmore is a "major Republican candidate," then I'm a major Democratic candidate.

Hint: I'm not a major candidate. Another hint: neither is Jim Gilmore.

Chris here !

Yes I know Jimbo ,he's a good fellow gopher. And with all the worry going around with some of the others in Trump's cross hairs ,the apparent seems more-so the inevitable, Trump wants to hit some home runs at the debate,he thinks his advisories are no balls and his bat is more like a can of Raid used against a whole team of flies.Trump's been called a bag of wind and blow hard and other such things and he's going in swinging and sadly but not really, at least a few will drop like flies.

That should move me up.

So the way it is now it's the more the merrier.
The going theory is he can't knock them all out of the race.
It's kind of like putting a protective shield around a exploding gas tank in Ford pinto. The old fix on a crutch.
GOP engineering.

And they might want to practice some fancy pageant walking.

They'll have to cook up something unique, because "lying to save your ass" is too common amongst the contestants.

...chance for a Cabinet post?

...chance that a scandal engulfs the front-runner?

...chance that a meteor wipes out everyone else at the debate?
