The investigation of Creative Creations and its owner, who allegedly sold thousands of worthless travel vouchers, has been taken over by the FBI and the Internal Revenue Service, Douglas County officials said.
The Douglas County Attorneys Office will continue its prosecution efforts against Patricia Urbanovsky, owner of the Omaha event-planning firm, for three felony counts of theft. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Sept. 17 in Douglas County District Court.
Urbanovsky is accused of bilking three former employees out of more than $141,000.
The FBI served a search warrant last week on an Omaha residence occupied by Urbanovsky.
