The head of FBI Agents Association (FBIAA) fired back at President Trumps comments against the bureau on Sunday, saying any suggestion that agents arent dedicated to their jobs is simply false.
Every day, FBI Special Agents put their lives on the line to protect the American public from national security and criminal threats. Agents perform these duties with unwavering integrity and professionalism and a focus on complying with the law and the Constitution, FBIAA head Thomas OConnor said in a statement.
This is why the FBI continues to be the premier law enforcement agency in the world. FBI Agents are dedicated to their mission; suggesting otherwise is simply false.

(22,104 posts)Trump has been insulting many wings of the American system. The FBI is only one of those organizations Trump has insulted since before he was a candidate.
Consider his comments about the military, Congress and even members of his own party.
The push-back has finally started and Trump will find himself without too many allies.

(22,104 posts)In the bigger picture, James Comey is simply another witness. That's all.
Robert Mueller is the star of this epic tragedy. In the end, he'll be more important and influential that Eliot Ness, Sam Ervin or John Dean.

(22,104 posts)I read them, too, and he's vaguely annoying.
This history we're living through is far too amazing and frightening to miss anything, however.
My point is simply that Comey will end up being a minor character albeit an crucial one. His little commentaries have no effect.
Have a good week, WinkyDink!
