He knows damnwell that NOW, the tit for tat is gonna be a full Senate hearing on the new senator from Alabama, as well as a full and on the record accounting of the nation's coterie of Ratfuckers.

He couldn't have handled the response better, IMHO.

Yes, we need to ensure that our own people meet high standards. BUT, Franken as admitted inappropriate behavior and apologized for it. I'm not sure what advantage there is to start engaging in he said/she said kind of stuff. Because while I believe this woman in general, her political leanings and friends raise of possibility she's gilding the lily, especially about stuff that's not really verifiable.

I don't think she anticipated he would call for a investigation/hearing at which she herself would have to testify.

Her submitting that photo as evidence to prove her story would come into question as his hands are clearly not touching her, not to mention that it's obviously a gag photo with Franken hamming it up for the camera.

Oh, also Roger Stone tweeting about what was to come to Franken would also be examined.

"The apology, sure I accept it, yes. People make mistakes and of course he knew he made a mistake," Leeann Tweeden said. "So yes I do accept that apology. There's no reason why I shouldn't accept his apology."

She said it's up to Congress to decide if it wants to have an ethics investigation into Franken's behavior, adding that she isn’t calling for Franken to step down, unless more women come forward.

But if the answer is "yes" to those three questions, then that is problematic to say the least.

Tweeden would have been given a rundown of the job expectations when she agreed to take it. She was hired because of the sexy roles she had already done--it was for a USO tour to entertain troops. If they had wanted a school teacher or mother in a skit they would have hired someone else and not a Playmate.

These are some of the questions that I feel should be included in that investigation that he is calling for.

He has not apologized for what she claims occurred. He has said he does not remember the rehearsal the same way she does. He only apologized for the photo.

She was not forced to take the part. You can't expect to read his mind. If he says no, you have nothing to go on.

There have been actors who were already playing parts in a series that found their character was going to be in a homosexual kiss scene and protested. Are you on their side? Certainly if you were already in a part and had to kiss some other actor you really didn't like, you could object likewise.

What pressure to rehearse? That have to rehearse. That's show business.

Whether they use their tongue, I think they don't since the AIDS era. I remember reading some teen actress just assumed they would and had to be told they don't. That may or may not be an understanding among those doing scenes now. What's missing is what the expectation was.
