Re: Franken.

Show me a person who has never been disgusted by their own behavior, and I'll say "Hi, Mister Pence!"

Al is a class act all the way through, including how he deals with his own poor choices and bad judgment.

Show 'em how to do it, Senator.

appreciatively,
Bright

He has apologized any way and asked for a full investigation. I think many of us know what will be found already.

I can't believe some of the posts on here today. Stone, Bannon, Hannity etc are laughing through this all. Way too easy.

Sounds like AF wants an investigation to expose the people behind the smear job. Well played AF.

There, that took two seconds to figure out. Stone's tweet about it was from 10:00 last NIGHT! This reminds me of wikileaks.

And her response, that she's satisfied and doesn't want a hearing (edit: despite him saying he doesn't remember things the same way she does about the rehearsal), says either she's mighty forgiving compared to how outraged she was -- or that she wasn't quite as outraged as she acted.

Either way, transparency wins the day.

10. An investigation sounds honorable. Perhaps he'd expose them, but the damage would be done, I think.

The damage done is that the Democratic Party will show itself to be politically appeasing Republicans by capitulation in the most public, formal terms.

The public is likely to see this "investigation" as proof that "both sides do it," no matter what the outcome. One outcome is that the public will be disgusted that Democrats would even put themselves in this position in relation to Franken.

It's also bad enough that, because of this Bannon playbook move, Franken will never be able to run on a presidential ticket even if he's innocent of the charge.

16. Tweeden accepted his apology. Case closed. An investigation poisons clarity about real sex crimes.

Do you want an investigation at this point? If so, why.

I am glad to see that he is not trying to demonize her. We would do well to follow his lead.
