Just because it is a respected liberal does not absolve him of potential blame. Wonder why he immediately apologized and said he shouldn't have done it?
Hypocrisy is rampant on both sides of the political spectrum.

Al Franken's inappropriate behavior did NOT involve minors. It doesn't make Franken's actions acceptable, but it isn't the same thing, and the false equivalency they are trying for isn't going to fly

What Franken did was inappropriate.

The woman he harassed is associated with Fox news, so this is no surprise that the thug Roger Stone would be privy to this information.

None of that excuses Franken's behavior, nor doesn't it excuse the traitorous activities of Stone, the current administration, or anyone else included in these incidents.

I say let it all come out.

While there is no doubt in my mind that some Democrats will be involved in improprieties and wrong doings, there is no doubt in my mind that a lot more republicans will be up to their neck in this shit, and it will involve much more than sexual harassment with the republicans

So let's really "clean house" if that is what they want, and when the smoke clears there will be no doubt in my mind that a hell of a lot of republicans will either be in jail or out of office than Democrats.

Realistically, this isn't going to happen

Of course it is a hit job by the rethugs, and the fact that his accuser is associated with fox news, makes it even more evident that this is a setup, but do you think that going after Franken's accuser or saying she is distorting or misrepresenting what happen will help? It won't. Franken did the right thing and apologized if his were actions were taken in the wrong way, and it will stop right there.

Yeah, he made a mistake. Clowning around, joking about groping. The tongue in mouth bit, well, that was a bit over the line, no? Maybe Franken is a method actor? But really, if he was trying to assault her sexually he wouldn't have written it into a script, and he wouldn't have asked for a photo to be taken of the "rehearsal". I still like Al and I think he's handling this appropriately, that he intended it to be humorous and apologizes that it did turn out that way, and he supports having the incident investigated by the ethics committee. The woman has accepted his apology and stated she doesn't see why it should cost him his seat in the Senate.

Bearing in mind they were on a USA tour for the troops, an audience that no doubt liked the sexual aspect of the humor.

Unlike some others, as far as we know, Franken made no attempt to assault her in private, nor has he denied the incident or claimed it was a "she said, he said" thing.

Franken is known for his "broad" comedy, as well as for his deadpan delivery. He's also known for having a razor sharp wit in the Senate when it comes to cross examining conservative witnesses, and that's put a target on his back.

The picture was stupid and unfortunate, but he never touched her--he was clowning around for the camera--hardly a sexual predator's usual modus operandi. He was on a comedy tour.
He said he does not recall the kissing skit the way the so-called victim trotted out by Stone and Bannon does, yet apologized if he had done anything at all to make her uncomfortable. Already we know the groping picture incident is not as she claimed. Franken has called for an ethics investigation of himself and the "incident."
It appears that Franken is the one being harassed if anyone is.
