Howard Dean was on with Ari Berman, iirc, last night and he said national Dems should stay out of it. Of course, contribute if you would like and can, but he said to let Alabamans sort the election out for themselves. BTW and fwiw, Dean said he's been watching Ala for the last 10-15 years and thinks with the industries like auto manufacturing moving south and universities/academic communities growing, that Ala is near a tipping point from old south to new south.
