DFA noisily pulled their support from Northam less than a week before the election, labelling him a "racist." Turns out that hardly anyone seemed to care.
What/who is DFA?

(16,646 posts)I'd bet there is a small business opportunity in "scoring" the PAC's out there.
Keep track of who they support, what they spend, and what their apparent "effectiveness" is.
There is an industry out there whose only purpose is to make money off of politics and campaigns. They aren't ideologically driven, although they may specialize in certain kinds of candidates. But they generate the demand for consultants, and fund raising. I heard someone call it the "political industrial complex". It has exploded since Citizens United.
It would be valuable to track PAC's, and to some extent polling organizations, and keep track of effectiveness. It could start to undermine the claims of these "industries" on their value.

They have been steadily declining in their ability to raise funds over the last four years. Dean built them up and now they are going down.
