This is a huge step forward, but it is a long journey. Tonight is also the first hint of political
hope in a year.
I, as well as many of you, have been quite open in the mood swings, often despairing moods, during the last year.
Perhaps tonight is a glimpse into a brighter, trump-less future. Culture - politics - is like a big pendulum that swings back and forth. Much of our country pay far less attention to details than we do here....they get caught up in the fake news, the tv and radio bluster. The attraction to the shiny thing called trump was too much - it was their world - their own reality tv president.
BUT.....at some point you have to have some faith - we have to have some faith - that good will eventually prevail. That the rot that is trump and his followers will grow bored, or come to their senses, or just decide to swing the other way because that is what they do.
I don't watch TV. Any political news obtained is from here - from reading links on DU, from spending time with you here.
Perhaps tonight's victories - and Mueller's steadfast moving forward - perhaps.
