Democrat Party
Why do we let it pass when we are called the Democrat Party? We know they are demeaning us when they use it. I hear it in television interviews and democrats just let it pass. How hard would it be to correct it?
To be civil, we could pretend it was an honest mistake. Just a quick correction like you would if they had called you by the wrong name. If the situation called for it, we could even slip in a half-hidden patronizing or condescending tone. It is so offensive. And it's aggressively rude. And we just take it. Why?

4. Exactly.
I am convinced they literally sit around thinking of ways to behave like even bigger assholes; how to develop the whiniest insults; how to sneer even more condescendingly, and how to piss away even more of their dignity (actually I'd say the barrel is empty there).

6. It's illiterate
Democrat is a noun. They use it as an adjective. It makes them sound idiotic, IMO.

7. Just refer to them as the Republic Party and keep it moving. The problem
with them is that they know shade because they know that Democrats will never fight back. That is how Drumpf operates. Name calling is a part of their signature means of opposition. To fight back is not to wallow in the dirt with them but to challenge them at what they know best.

8. I was about to jump on you for using it in your subject line.
I can't promise I wouldn't have backed out without posting, though, because I wouldn't want to embarrass you on DU. But it actually angers me when I hear it or read it.
Good post. |

9. Smile and ask "You do mean Democratic?"
and keep asking until they correct themselves. I rarely get that problem twice from the same person.

10. They do it for two reasons. 1) It gets people off message
and that works because 2) people let them get them off message because people let it irritate them.
Solution: Don’t let them sidetrack the discussion and don’t give them the satisfaction of irritating you. No shiny objects. |
