Top House Democrat Drops A Truth Bomb: Republicans Are Aiding And Abetting Trump Crimes

By Jason Easley on Mon, Oct 23rd, 2017 at 7:21 pm

The ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) spoke the truth when said that Republicans would be losing their minds if Hillary Clinton did what Trump’s family is up to with private email.

The truth hurts:

Whether it is the Russia scandal, Trump family conflicts of interest, Trump using the presidency for his own personal gain, or Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump’s use of private email to conduct government business, the Republican Party has aided and abetted, this president’s criminal activity.

That’s why these scandals aren’t just presidential scandals. They also represent the systemic failure of one of the two major political parties in the United States.

Rep. Cummings was right. Republicans would be losing their minds if the shoe was on the other foot. Hillary Clinton would already be impeached if she did 1/1000th of what Trump has done as president. The fact that Republicans are actively helping this president cover up his crimes suggests that it will take more than the removal of Trump from office to clean up the corruption within the Republican Party.

I thought our Republic is threatened and wounded but the truth and the law will right this damaged ship.
But no, we have treasonous Republicans basically saying, "Yeah, whatcha gonna DO about it"? I fear we might be truly fucked and finished.

Totally in the pocket of Trump, not doing their jobs. Stupid Trumpers don't follow the news and aren't particularly bright, so all they know is what Trump says, which they believe. "Sad."

As far as I'm concerned they are evil neo-Fascists. Each and everyone wants to be a pharoah and consign us to dragging stones to b uild their luxurious pyramids. Dems had better stop their infighting and unite to defeat the party of evil.

a virtual catalog of Republican hypocrisy. And, there's little indication they give a shit.

(snip)
Ten months into #Trump Admin & House GOP still haven't held a single substantive oversight hearing on clear abuses by #POTUS or top aides.
