Just about the whole summer, and still, just about every time I see young punks (I don't call them teenagers since they are punks,) getting busted after car chases and crashes of stolen cars.

They bust into car dealerships brazenly, steal and/or destroy cars, then joyride and/or do smash and grab robberies of businesses.

Just last Friday a stolen car in a car chase smashed into a school bus.

All 6 punks arrested, were out on bail for multiple previous car thefts.

There just isn't any excuse anymore.
The punks need to spend serious jail time for multiple offenses.

Don't disagree with your call for consequences. Just noting that in many places a black kid doing something like this would be shot.

2. Nope, it's pretty even, white, black, Hispanic, Asian.

In fact all 6 of the punks who crashed the car into a school bus last Friday are black.

None were shot.

3. Write your rep in support of WAB 92.

It'll increase the penalties for second-offense carjacking, increase the penalty classification for operating a vehicle without the consent of an owner and make it easier for judges to re-classify juvenile offenders as adults. If you think that's the answer.

I'm curious why this is a problem more in Milwaukee than other towns of similar size and demographics.

4. Sounds like it would make too much sense.

And our state government, all the way to the state Supreme Court and governor, is dominated by stupid, corrupt GOP'ers.

5. It's a GOP bill that relies heavily on a sense of outrage and Law And Order, that plays to the

public's feelings that Something Must Be Done, so I'd be surprised if it failed.
