If that remains true, a McCain replacement who's a solid "yes" wouldn't help them. Nobody knows what actually will happen.

Some voters have short memories, but not THAT short. The GOP would be insane to pursue this because it will give boundless energy and talking points for Democratic campaigns.

Of course, someone should explain what the midterms are, to trump*, because I doubt he has a clue. However, he does have endless bluster.
