Former New Hampshire Gov. John H. Sununu, a prominent surrogate for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, accused President Obama of a failure to understand how the economy works.

After references to Chicago's notorious past politicians, Sununu then blasted Obama:

"I wish this president would learn how to be an American."

Sununu, a former Salem resident who now lives in Hampton Falls, was speaking on a conference call with reporters. The first question from reporters asked that he clarify what he meant when he suggested Obama is somehow un-American.

Sununu said, what he was getting at, is that, "The president has to learn the American formula for creating business. The American formula for creating business is not to have government create business."

Further proof he was an arrogant prick - I think it was the late Senator Robert Byrd who writes in his memoirs about when Sununu was meeting congressional Democratic leaders while engaging in negotiations over legislation behest of the White House. Byrd wrote about how rude Sununu was to the point where he was crunching either M&Ms or peanuts (can't remember which) very loudly during the negotiations very loudly in a manner that publicly demonstrated how contemptuously he was treating the whole process and the other people in the room. IIRC, Byrd lost his temper and called Sununu out on his rudeness and disrespect and forced him to reconsider his attitude very quickly

I hope Sununu keeps opening his mouth and appearing regularly as a surrogate -he'll keep digging that hole every bit deeper for Mitt and the Republican campaign

Having been born in Hawaii- (not Cuba) Having been born to a mother who traces her ancestry back to 1640's Mass. Bay Colony and Native American ancestry. Sununu's father was born in Jerusalem of Lebanese decent, his mother was born in San Salvador and is also of Lebanese decent.

What differences would you point to between the two men other than their skin color?

I certainly can't be their country of origin, or the country of origin of their parents.
