Should they get statues?

I mean, keep the Bronze cast of Charles Manson in your own gallery, not in a public park.

(15,381 posts)To the people who keep talking about how it's part of hiiiiiistory that now we can put up real historically-accurate statues - some can even have people like Robert E. Lee. I see him on his knees handing his sword over to General Grant as he surrenders at Appomattox. Oh, sure, there's a little bit of artistic license there, but he did surrender, and we can make sure this historical fact is never forgotten by making a statue depicting it!
I've made this suggestion to a few people who hide behind the, "history card," as it were. They couldn't come up with a response to get around my more historically-accurate suggestion. Pissed them off.

A HERETIC I AM
(24,368 posts)According to the Wiki page on him, his home in London bears only a plaque;

The larger point I am making is that this is the appropriate type of monument to a traitor. One that does not mention his name.,
