The four "most solid" buildings on the Caribbean island of Saint Martin have been destroyed as Hurricane Irma wreaks major damage in the region, the French government has said.

watching the webcam live that isn't working very well at the moment. Last I could "see" palm trees were bent over sideways and the cameras been out for about an hour now. There are live texts on next to the livecam video.

Time for Cat 6- hurricanes due to global warming/climate change.

I have been there a few times. It's a great place. I really hope people are able to stay safe, but if their shelters are being destroyed, I am really worried for them.
