Long before Putin had any plans, the majority of Republican Party supporters and almost all of their leaders, had walked off the deep end. These sentiments have been around before any bots were pushing this meme. You know how cause and effect work, right? I know why it's tempting for some to blame everything on Russian bots but these types of sentiments have been nurtured in places like Texas for many years and were amped up during the Obama administration. Yes the Russians are trying to attack our democracy, but tht is not what caused these sentiments and there is nothing silly about understanding that.
