LOL, Fox hires Michael Vick as NFL Kickoff

and FS1 NFL analyst.

Fox keeps adding to their roster of NFL analysts, and their latest pick seems likely to be controversial. As per A.J. Perez of USA Today, they’ve brought in Michael Vick as an analyst for Fox NFL Kickoff (the early 11 a.m. Eastern pre-game show on Fox, which featured Charissa Thompson, Colin Cowherd, Dave Wannstedt and Charles Tillman last year; Tillman isn’t returning, and Tony Gonzalez has already been announced as an addition, but the full lineup isn’t out yet). Vick will also appear as an analyst on FS1’s debate shows. Perez has some quotes on the subject:

I guess you think you know more than Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers says Colin Kaepernick deserves to ‘be on an NFL roster right now’

It is obvious he is being black balled because he sat for the National Anthem, by a bunch conservative owners

Nope.

Don't worry yourself about what DU thinks about him. He's probably a millionaire. I just hope he owns no animals.

will hire anyone if they think they've got the skills.

Kaepernick simply doesn't.

I lost any sympathy I had for him when I learned he did not even vote. Seriously? You can take a knee, but you can't get off your privileged pro football player butt to go vote???

Abuse toward helpless people...elderly, children, animals...is inexcusable, and shows the abuser to be the coward that he is.

I cannot imagine doing to animals what he did. It makes my skin crawl to think he thinks he's some kind of important person. Sadly, I'm not religious, because at least if I were, I could believe one day he'll roast in hell.

Really doesn't matter; I truly believe anyone who could treat a living creature in that way is without a soul, without a conscience, without any sort of ability to recognize right from wrong.

Time served in prison will not have taught him what he should have been born with as a human being, or at least taught as a child.

I think he is scum. Watching a dog hanging from a rope as it slowly strangles....nope, sorry, no forgiveness or acceptance here.

Ymmv.

Paid for his crimes and have every right to work where he wants. Also the link, "Awful Announcing" is questionable as at best, it is someone's blog. Reading BEYOND The Headline Is Important.

Yes, those upthread, he did his time (for bankrolling dogfighting, not animal cruelty) and anyone can hire him, but fuck him regardless.

I don't know which. I think AA men with a felony conviction have a hard time getting gainful employment unless you're a celebrity athlete. I wonder how many AA non-violent felons are also getting jobs at faux?
So good for Vick, but what about other folks that deserve a shot of redeeming themselves and getting a good job?
