(6,286 posts).... If I had two million dollars and donated $1000000, would that be a paltry sum? A million bucks is a million bucks.

(6,286 posts).... what I told another poster. I would venture a guess that the ADL did not turn down the donation, and were grateful to receive it. Seems the ADL does not share in your misgivings about said donation. Simple logic.

(9,785 posts)nor the second time you stuffed your straw man.
quickesst
(6,286 posts)....for an imaginary strawman simply because it is the go to, fall back for a misguided argument. When the ADL Rejects the donation and rejects it for the very same reasons you seem to think they should, then I will agree with you. I simply don't think it will happen.

(15,805 posts)The average charity donation is 3%, that's $15 million in Murdock bucks, somewhat more than $1 million, yeah? Considering the role his company, Fox News, played in hyping up the events in Charlottesville and their defense of Nazis and klansmen who were spewing hate, bigotry and antisemitism, maybe Murdock's guilty conscience should prompted him to make a more generous donation to the ADL in keeping with his complicity.

(6,286 posts)..... what you are trying to say, but I think you are still missing the point of what I am saying. A million bucks from someone who has 500 million and a million bucks from someone who has two million is still a million bucks. Lay those $2000000 down side by side and choose one. I would venture a guess either one will do an equal amount of good for the ADL. The two-million-dollar guy's million will not do any more than the 500 million guy's million-dollars. I would venture a further guess, and say that the ADL did not turn down the donation and were grateful to have it.
