Say what you will about Democratic voters, but they have a habit of picking

extremely smart, capable, and humane leaders for president.

Carter, Clinton, Obama, all seem to be excellent, really intelligent, and humane humans. President in exile Hillary Clinton also fits that mold.

Even our nominees are great - Gore, Kerry, even Mondale and Dukakis are smart, very cool human beings (or were).

What I'm saying is, Democratic voters have been doing our jobs, taking care and picking excellence for the top position, for 30 years.

Meanwhile, the Republican voters bring us a cavalcade of dumb (Reagan, W, Shartcannon) and evil (Nixon, Bush I, Shartcannon). We need to find a way to sue them for negligence and damage to our country.

Stop electing evil morons, Republicans.

Also, I see no need to debate our next nominee much - Democrats have a great track record of choosing people excellent for the job.

or want to be led because they lack the creativity of thought to actually discover and progress (as a verb).

But we also need to focus on 2018 midterms, and not even ponder the 2020 presidential candidates!

Republicans slouch for 'Murica.

And it's just sooo much easier to be a 'Murican, being American requires an active and engaged mind.

We have had a deep bench for a very long time. I take issue with Johnson but he fought for and brought us social programs that work for us. So, the beat goes on.

Rec'd.

Bob Dole sez:

Something is wrong with America. I wonder sometimes what people are thinking about or if they're thinking at all.

Bob Dole also doesn't like the way congress behaves:

If you're hanging around with nothing to do and the zoo is closed, come over to the Senate. You'll get the same kind of feeling and you won't have to pay.

Bob Dole likes Bob Dole, though.

In 2000 and 2016 they viciously attacked our candidate and made all types of false claims. Gore was anti environment and a potential warmonger, yet Gore turned out to be big on the environment and hate war while Bush set us back environmentally and got us into costly wars in terms of lives lost and treasure lost. So far, Trump seems to be making Bush look tame - a war with North Korea won't be a picnic, we could not beat them when they were feudal and weak, why should any sane person think beating them now would be easier.

The extreme left are a very small fraction of voters. It is the mainstream right that screws us, time and again.

Florida 2000 was decided by 954 votes. Extreme left gave Nader 97,000 votes there.

Pennsylvania and Wisconsin 2016 were decided by fewer votes than Jill Stein got.

BS is my reply to you. If not for the extreme left, we would have a very progressive country today and be able to spend money on people in need instead of the interest on the debt Bush built.

of magnitude. And so do non-voters.

There will always be naive, impractical people making the perfect the enemy of the good. Don't be one of them, and encourage them to support Democratic candidates where you can.

But some of them can become allies in the fight against corporate greed and control, so treat them gingerly.

Just my 2 cents. Your mileage may vary.

You are talking about a party where half of their party is ok with suspending elections. Those people seem to want a dictator. Rationality and making leadership choices don't seem to be something they are good at.
