Romney says he left Bain in February 1999

Anyone watching Rockinrooster's live feed of MSNBC just watched Romney answer questions from someone off camera that we could not hear.

He was seated with a wall sconce over his left shoulder and a stone wall (or fireplace) behind him on his right side. He was wearing a dark blue blazer with a white shirt and no tie.

Most of his comments were simply attacking President Obama but the one straight answer he gave was that he left "the company" in February of 1999 and that he kept the stock ownership until some arraignments could be made for his severance package (paraphrased).



I guess he doesn't have anyone reading DU. If so he might have changed his story early instead of being faced with the kind of evidence provided in this thread:

It took three years for arrangements to be made for his severance? Yeah right... When you are listed as CEO, president, and chairman of the board of a company then you are clearly responsible for what the company does. He's just tripling-down on the lies at this point.
