If you say no! Of course not, Obamanut, I never would!
But of you are then a apologist for anti choice "Democratic" candidates, then you are a raging and disgusting and misogynist hypocrite, I don't care what political party or POV you consider yourself.
I am fucking DONE with the rights of women and girls being handwaved away. The argument that well, an anti women Dem is better than an anti women Repub is bull. It is no different for women's civil rights. None. No matter how you want to excuse the misogyny that it is.
So, if you think anti choice candidates are okay, I guess you'll supporting white nationalists now, too.
And yeah, it is the same, no matter how you want to think it isn't.
I am not debating anyone who thinks we should support anti choice candidates, unless you publicly state it's okay to support anti integration candidates, and if you state which civil right YOU will give up.

(7,911 posts)"Anti-abortion" doesn't mean "anti-choice". You make a serious mistake every time you hear "anti-abortion" and jump to the conclusion that means "anti-choice". There is an actual reason why "anti-choice" is spelled differently from "anti-abortion", and that reason is that they are not synonyms. I am strongly pro-choice, and strongly anti-abortion. Just like I'm anti-root canal. I don't like root canals. I want to avoid them whenever possible. But when I need a root canal, I will reluctantly accept that I need a root canal. But in spite of accepting that necessity, I'll still remain anti-root canal.
But just because I, personally, am anti-root canal, that does not mean I'm anti-choice where root-canals are concerned. In other words, I personally will try to avoid root canals, but I have no objection to other people choosing to have them. I would like to see the necessity for abortions go away, but I respect and support any woman's choice to have an abortion. Period. I'm anti-abortion, but pro-choice. "anti-abortion" is NOT a synonym of "anti-choice." Your crayon box needs a few more shades of gray than just black and white.

(13,390 posts)against redlining. One who has never once cozied up to police who racially profile or policies that allow it. You have supported anti-integration candidates and or candidates who support racially biased policing.
If you have ever supported a candidate who has supported legislation that provided harsher criminal penalties for crack vs. cocaine. You supported not just the segregation that comes with differentials in who goes to prison. But you have also supported slavery of a group that is disproportionately nonwhite.
A lot of good points are being made. But this is an extremely flawed analogy, and if you dig deep, even Democrats have a pretty bad record on racial issues.
