On this coming Monday (7/24/17) . . . .
Democrats are about to unveil a bold, progressive economic platform. They want to see peoples quality of life improve.
The new slogan will be:
A Better Deal: Better Jobs, Better Wages, Better Future
This campaign-style motto stresses that the Democrats values did not change!!
This effort is designed to revive the party, to give Democrats a chance to win back at least some control of Congress next year. It outlines a new economic agenda and a call to action!
People need to know what Democrats stand for!
It articulates new proposals and restates an aggressive agenda focusing on:
- Job-training programs
- One payer health care
- Renegotiating trade deals
- Addressing soaring prescription-drug costs
- etc.
In short . . . to Make America, America Again
To see how it will stack up to the Republicans . . .

(41,832 posts)As I believe Hillary Clinton had a perfectly wonderful plan and direction for the Democratic party.
All this catering to white working lower class folks won't work IMO. They may pull some over, but
Democrats can win with the base we have now. It's just a matter of making sure they vote.

(6,401 posts)I'm not really crazy on the slogan. People I've talked to about it aren't, either.

(3,447 posts)It shouldn't be so easy to excoriate a central message, folks... Seriously, we're at the point with our messaging that "Look it's either us or Trump, right?" would be a more compelling message than what our people come up with.

(2,810 posts)But that is a terrible slogan. I'd be surprised if Papa John's doesn't sue over that.
