Just because he has an Italian surname gives you no right to make mafia slurs. Bits racist and tasteless.

In the 1939s. The largest mass lynching in America was against Sicilian immigrants.

As I have stated before, the greatest empire the western world has ever seen, the people that led the Renaissance, the great artists, scientists, and athletes, yet all American media can portray is mafia.

Italian Americans were not considered "white" until the 1970s and stereotypes exist today. The Son's of Italy is a powerful political organization that fights anti italian stereotype and discrimination.

It's sad that DU accepts this garbage

It's racist.

What else would you call employing ethnic stereotypes?

It's a Sopranos reference and Scar is an obvious reference to Capone.

And on edit:. What do you think the OP was insinuating playing off his name? He was trying to make it sound like a mafia nickname. Are you that clueless?

I've never seen the Sopranos. Sorry.

I call my cat the Spawn of Satan when playing off her name. I don't really mean it, and she seems not to mind it.

He might be the most worthless bastard on the face of the earth. Insinuating it's okay to making mafia references because it's funny is not okay. Shame on you.

And on edit.

The fact that you think that was the first thing people thought only reinforces my point.

All of the contributions the descends of the Eutrascans have made to the western world from our own system of government to Galeleo to the statue of David and all the people in this country can do is think Tony Soprano and you think it is not only okay, but funny

Clueless me missed the reference completely.

Never seen a single episode of the Sopranos. No interest in it at all.
