What will happen the day after the election? (tv commercials)

It is impossible to watch live tv here in Florida and it looks to continue until November. Every commercial is either from a Super PAC with a vague name (75%) or a candidate (25%). The ads are almost exclusively negative.

What are tv stations going to do for revenue after this bonanza of Citizens United fueled electioneering is over come November? Will the attack ads continue? Will I pull "an Elvis" and put the tv out of its misery and myself in the loonie bin? Thank god for DVRs... I can watch America's Got Talent and fast forward through the political ads.

I predict there is a possibility of the following types of ads:

(1) Medical Tourism
- Ads by hospitals and companies in Thailand, India and some central American countries that offer much lower cost medical procedures than in America

(2) Offshore Retirement Opportunities
- Ads by countries and companies that specialize in lower-cost foreign retirement for American citizens

(3) Burial and Cremation Services
- Ads by companies "pre-selling" burial and funeral services

There are dozens of channels that don't run political ads and the Premium Channels don't have any commercials. The only advertising they do is for their other shows.

We have a ton of advertisers that get booted out during the silly season. Once it's up they are able to fill up that time quite nicely.

If you don't like the ads now, wait until the Olympics!! Yikes!!
