Oklahoma is the first state to be chosen as a testing site for small unmanned aircraft systems, commonly called drones, to be used to help first responders, state and federal officials announced Thursday.

And that some of the uses of drones will actually be beneficial to the populace. Some of them.

that they pick the state which was a prison for so many years, until 1890, to experiment with covertly stripping of civil liberties...the state has so much sadness in it's past, it seems appropriate place to start for the tyrants wishing to circumvent the Constitution...Orwell is just spinning and laughing at the same time..

I lived there for 8 years, and though I love the place, the people play serious mental gymnastics on a daily basis.

own drones. Who would need security companies. You are home alone at night, you hear something outside, you activate your drone to find out what is going on.

Or imagine an Occupy Wall Street or some other type of protest. The protesters could get their own drone to monitor the police. After all there are no laws governing out the Government uses drones so there would not be any laws on how the public uses them.

It could put a whole new meaning to taking back our government if there were more ways to document government entity wrong doing.
