1. That's one thing the half-wits don't comprehend. A real (as opposed to the perpetual NRA fantasy)

effort to disarm the population is much more likely to come from the right. If they think they are powerful enough, you can count on it. It's not like you could ever find historical examples of fascist regimes or oligarchy's that allowed the citizens to go around armed.

It's the plan they only discuss among the most trusted power brokers at the top. They hope to beat down the middle class and have a huge peasant population to exploit. It's the kind of thing that never works or has never lasted for long anywhere else. They think that this time, they will be strong enough and ruthless enough to make it work.
