Joe Biden, Sit Down and Be Quiet

In an era where we need to look forward, to plan on how Democrats will take back BOTH the House and the Senate . . . the last thing we need is divisiveness and in-fighting!

Having said that . . . it can be argued that the reason Hillary lost was precisely BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE YOU! Yes Joe, you!!

There are a lot of misguided insulated misfits running Congress. The voters in the US (AND FRANCE for that matter!) . . . by electing Trump (and Macron – a total outsider) . . . in effect said: POX ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES!

If you do not think there is an anti politician mood . . . just look at the popularity rating of Congress!

Unfortunately, Hillary could not live down . . was not able to shed . . . her "establishment" tint.

As in France, the mood in the US was for an "outsider"! As a confirmation of this, just look at the traction Bernie got!

There is widespread revulsion about Congress. We see mostly: Dysfunctional Politics, Confrontation, Extremism, Polarization, and extreme obstructionism!

In fact, you, Joe Biden are a good example of the adage that “We have the best politicians money can buy”!

For those people who do not know . . . YOU and your sons received huge funding from BANKS. You were the poster child for them getting their moneys-worth, when you personally twisted the hands of Democrats to support (in 2000) Bush's first legislative agenda, his number one initial priority . . . to gut the Bankruptcy Laws. You helped them undo 600 years of Old English Common Law!

You single-handedly helped Republicans re-write the protections for “average people”. To screw “the little people”.

Bankruptcy is now a sham and has been corrupted with your help! We are not dumb, we do not forget!

Again . . . you are part of the problem, so be part of the solution and retire! Take up painting as the person who you helped rewrite the Bankruptcy Laws is doing.

in his previous runs, and there's no reason to think that Russia wouldn't have preferred their Trump puppet to Biden or anyone else.

And Biden has his own shadow: his treatment of Anita Hill in the Clarence Thomas hearings, which millions of women have never forgotten.

But he remains a better candidate in his own mind.

Biden was a good Senator (except for his role in the Clarence Thomas confirmation) and he was an excellent VP. But he was not and never would have been a better.Presidential candidate than Hillary - except perhaps among white males.

Some conservative Republicans thought that the equivalent of your scenario played out in 2008. In winner-take-all states, with several more conservative candidates splitting the right-wing vote, McCain (perceived as more centrist) won with a plurality, thus receiving all the delegates even though his more conservative opponents collectively had a majority of the votes.

Democratic Party rules, however, outlaw winner-take-all primaries and caucuses. If Biden had run, he would have taken votes mostly from Clinton, plus some from Bernie. Bernie's total share of the delegates would not have increased. At the convention, if neither Biden nor Clinton had a majority, the one who was doing worse would probably have endorsed the other, who would have been nominated. That would probably be Clinton, though perhaps Biden, but it's hard for me to see a scenario where Biden's entry into the race leads to Bernie being nominated.

Strange to even push that now. Most of those I've seen pushing it would be his harshest critics if he were to run considering he is economically to the right of Clinton. For Biden it is simply another example of his ego and lack of impulse control. For those spreading and promoting it, its to keep us fighting. I still love Joe. He is who he is.

The damning with faint praise of HRC by many Democrats makes them even worse than some GOP haters. It's the termites eating away at the foundation that destroy a house.
