(6,395 posts)Some start out private but eventually move over to public. But in some states, the state government takes over as opposed to federal. In other cases a foundation runs things, some go to the NPS system, Historical Societies, etc.
But if you ask me, 45 has already built his. Mar-a-Lago. Large companies often have their own "museums".
