i know the man is a dumb as a sack of hammers, but that seems too stupid even for him.
perhaps the men had a conversation w cheeto, secretly taped, and took back to their masters. it does say that cheeto ok'd the tape, but perhaps it wasnt worded quite that way. perhaps he agreed that they could repeat the conversation, thinking there would be no trail.

there are many people here who do not understand the "Fitzmas" reference. It goes back to the Bush administration, and there are a lot of people who have joined since then.

Why would anybody commit such a thing to tape? You know very well that any personal message from Trump would be worded tersely and at a sixth grade writing level. Why commit such a thing to tape when Page probably could have recited the entire thing by mouth, or when Trump could have simply told them to call himself personally? Now, I'm not dismissing it entirely because Lord knows Trump is a supreme idiot and just might have stupidly done it. I just see no compelling reason why he would have.
