The theme for this month's contest was based on the concept of The Wizard of Oz. Photographers were asked to submit a photo of a wild travel adventure where they encountered different architecture, landscape, native plants and animals, or food unlike what they experience at home ("somewhere over the rainbow") OR a photo of something that spoke to their heart when they returned from an amazing travel adventure about being "no place like home". If the experience of travel had not been an option, then they were asked to submit a photo of something in their native environment that made them happy to be where they were.
The Preliminaries will run for 48 hours. Then the top two from each thread plus the next two highest across all three threads will advance to the Finals, which will also run for 48 hours. The winner of the April contest will be responsible for hosting the May contest, or, if unable to serve as host, be responsible for finding a substitute host.
Please vote for your favorite in all three threads!
