Breaking: Russia hacked DNC Vertica voter database

This a new and I think hugely important allegation from Louise Mensch.

Agents of Russia not only hacked DNC emails, but also the DNC database on voters. If you have ever done canvassing, these types of databases are what canvassers use to determine to talk to, and after canvassing your check marks go back into the database.

In modern politics this DNC database is vital, amongst other reasons, because it controls the GOTV effort.

Mensch's sources say Russia, with Trump collusion, used information from the DNC Vertica voter database to target propaganda at Democratic voters. In particular, Bernie voters would be good targets for misleading info about Hillary. And it's previously been reported by the Guardian that ad targeting involved sending black Democratic voters in PA misleading information about Hillary, designed to suppress votes.

https://patribotics.blog/2017/04/16/mike-flynns-treason-tour-global-russian-propaganda-coordinated-with-trump/

The US intelligence community now knows, if it did not before, that the Russian government hacked the state voter databases. The motherlode of the DNC leaks was not the DNC emails Wikileaks released; rather, it was the Vertica database that the DNC used and which had files on the voting behavior of all listed voters (hence the BernieBros that disappeared from Twitter – they were designed to suppress the Clinton vote). The Steele Dossier, which sources say is true in all important respects, states that Russian moles in the DNC leaked the files to Russia – they were as much hackers as Snowden was at the USA. Because there are too many states to place leakers in, Chayanov was forced actually to hack the state voter registration databases.

The Trump server was washing these two databases together for targeting by the campaign.

Edit: Mensch has her foibles, including spending a lot of time claiming credit for her reporting. But so far on many issues related to #TrumpRussia she has been correct. She appears to have good sources. She reported the FISA stuff long before the NYT/WaPost. We will see how this particular fact plays out. But if true, this is huge. It will require a reckoning from many organizations, from the FBI, to the for-profit media, to Facebook. This new report seems like the kind of thing Sen. Warner could be referring to when he says "This is the most important thing I will ever do in public life."

This means that there was and is a strong possibility that the machines used in counting were also hacked--------------If other countries can have a paper ballot then this country should be leading by example, and not by the example of becoming a third rate state power, which we are currently heading to become ---------then its time to tell "all" of these state governments during there sessions that this is what we want--------------and now

There are many voting issues America needs to fix
- Voting machines and hacking potential
- Voter registration should be easy
- election day national holiday
- no lines at polls
- Easy early voting, voting by mail

but we have right now is Treason.

And Treason is still Treason, and a right wing fascist republican party that are dragging there collective feet on this issue, knowing that this corrupt team committed TREASON, and corporate media worrying about some chocolate cake that this narcissistic pathological lair was bloviating about, just to get attention, while dropping taxpayer funded hardware for his show and tell moment, is not only disingenuous to the public at large, we already know he is in violation of the Constitution.

Just like from the Rolling Stone article, that really explains this narcissistic asshole in true form

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/features/trump-and-the-pathology-of-narcissism-w474896

And I will repeat this

Treason is Treason, and no matter how many offices this treasonous assholes tries to eliminate, Treason is still Treason and the right wing republicans that are doing nothing and dragging there collective feet on this issue need to be told and held accountable.

Maybe if the information was to be told by the corporate media (not going to hold my breath) we would be having another conversation and demanding a new election right now---------------a lot of the fourth estate is failing in this country, when we have to get our collective information from foreign sources that are more reliable, then we have another big problem

Been following Mench. I appreciate the way she will point out that what she says sometimes is not proven but a good theory, then if it becomes factual she will tell you that.

In this day and age most people self promote. Just way it is now, doesnt really mean much although it does annoy me at times.

they knew this before the elections, and they knew more about these crooks before the election, so why did they allow the elections to go on, why didn't they stop this mad man from running?

Every day we find out more facts about the corrupt conduct of Trump, the Russians and the republicans, all happened even before 2015, so why is it that not one is in jail? Why have they allowed things to go this far, to continue?

When they are ready to do something the destruction these people will get though will take years to fix. It takes a year to raise a building, only one day to demolish it....How long did it take to build the Twin Towers? How long did it take to bring the Twin Towers down? It works the same with countries, their economy, political infrastructure, moral, etc...if these evil people are not stopped now, the devastation and possibly a World War III will bring so much destruction just to please the greed and narcissism of a few.

Obama is a conciliator. He's not someone who likes conflict or challenge.

He should have challenged the GOP and should have challenged Putin.

I think there are three reasons this wasn't news in 2015/2016. First, the FBI has some dirty laundry in the NY Field Office and also the NSA has strict rules preventing them surveilling US citizens. Both issues prevented US counterintelligence from doing a good job. Both will need to be reckoned with over next few years. (Personally I support the current NSA rules and wish the NSA had been more public about them.)

Second, Obama didn't challenge Putin. He should have been much more aggressive about Putin intervening in the US, including with Snowden and WikiLeaks.

Third, Obama didn't challenge the GOP. Obama needed to use the media to fight hard against the GOPs authoritarian tendencies. Instead Obama tried to negotiate with them. Predictably, this failed and led to a stolen Supreme Court seat and McConnell refusing to go public with the Russia allegations in 2016.

Sometimes a president needs to conciliate and discuss. Sometimes a president needs to fight to win. Obama needed to fight and win more.

He purposely put a damper on launching any investigation before Trump was firmly in office. And also just to make sure that Trump won, he blabbed about new evidence against Hillary's emails a week before the election.

And if that is all true then now I suspect he will try as hard as he can to suppress evidence and whitewash the whitehouse in his final report.

What we knew months ago is that Russia broke into DNC emails. And we knew they broke into state voter registration lists (FBI press release, Oct 2016).

But if Russian hackers broke into the DNC voter database, they knew exactly what Hillary was doing in the weeks leading up to election day, with each voter. And they knew as much as the DNC about the issues those voters care about. That includes you and me.

If Russia provided those data to anyone in the Trump campaign, this presidency is sunk.
