Really Thom? Deepak Chopra?

Thom Hartmann has excellent insight on many political and historical topics and even science, but I had to turn off the show as he had on that quack DEEPAK CHOPRA and then let a caller babble on about how alternative medicine treated her after a car crash that supposedly "killed" her.

At least Nicole Sandler is on for Randi Rhodes right now.

I love the rationalwiki explanation of him. Just rub enough 'woo' and all is well

of an old interview Oprah did with Deepak from 93.

Try as I might, I couldn't figure out what the hell he was talking about and he is a very fast talker

that the new age movement is a form of capitalist/corporatist social engineering for the segment of the population that would otherwise have accepted fundamentalist christianity. If you dig down past all the woo and the galactic hierarchies and the 2012 ascension, you get some of the same basic memes that the right wing fundies believe.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming, for one.

Thing about Deepak is that he never tells any lies or mistruths - everything he says makes absolutely 0 sense.

It's not lying when it's babbling
