A "High Risk" (level 5 of 5) was issued by the Storm Prediction Center for parts of southeast Texas and north Louisiana, including the cities of Monroe, Ruston and Natchitoches in Louisiana. This area has the greatest threat of severe weather and several tornadoes.
The "Moderate Risk" (level 4 of 5) extends for the northern half of Louisiana and into Mississippi. Most of our viewing area is under the "Enhanced Risk" (level 3 of 5). This means that we could see several storms reaching severe weather status (capable of wind gusts at least 58 mph, hail at least one inch in diameter, and/or producing a tornado.)
