I'm reading the dossier, and it sure looks like they were flying her to the Kremlin and shit. Is she a Russian operative?

I'm of the same mind as the above poster though who asked how a fact can vary...it either is or it isn't facts.
It started from car commercials (well, I should say that's where I first heard it) who proudly proclaimed the bestest gas mileage for their vehicles but with the caveat that your mileage may vary depending on how you drive the car and under what conditions. It was kind of an escape hatch for them when, inevitably, you don't get the gas mileage they claim you should. Since you actually have to get around town and stuff rather than light-foot it on a test roller your mileage is almost guaranteed to vary.

(14,359 posts)which undermined Putin's credibility at home and infuriated him. Stopping Clinton at any cost was his number one goal. Stein was a useful pawn in that strategy, and he boosted Stein's campaign on his RT propaganda network.

(14,359 posts)Clinton would have continued the sanctions. Guess who wants to lift them.
Apparently that's worth a hefty share in Rosneft.
The personal vendetta was likely the bigger motivator, but since Putin saw an opportunity to install a puppet regime here, he went all in.

(24,006 posts)what seems clear to me is this move by Putin is NOT utilitarian in nature the way regional interventions in Syria or Ukraine have been
i find it much more likely that Putin did not consider the Cold War to be over with the dissolution of the USSR, and sees the USA as an enemy even now. and think about it -- how much did we actually help out in Russia as the USSR fell apart? did we intervene to prevent various crime syndicates from taking power? did we step in to help their state retain its dignity in defeat? no, we just let it crash and burn, and from the ashes arose a new leader, a cold war veteran, a spy, a ruthless autocrat who intends to win WW3 without dropping a single bomb. messing with our elections to destabilize our democracy is, for him, simply an extension of warfare using familiar tactics. i don't get the feeling he thought his agent would necessarily win, but now that he has his agent in place at the helm of our nation, he's going to re-work our nation's policies and practices for greatest possible advantage in the context of a quiet war
in short, don't just look for Putin to act directly for material gains -- he's already one of the richest and most powerful people in the world -- as his real interests lie elsewhere, victory in a war most of us considered over long ago.

She may not be a Russian agent, but she is a detestable person who believes that Hillary was worse than trump, and at every opportunity defended Putin
