We need to offer a plan to fix the holes in the Affordable Care Act while the GOP is reeling.

Use the $$ to lower out-of-pockets. Make the subsidies better (instead of dropping off at $48000, a gradual drop-off to $75000). End the "family glitch." In return, perhaps a small co-pay ($10 - $20) on currently "free" preventive care things.
Someone on CNN suggested Dems and Rs work together on an bill acceptable to both parties. That actually could happen if not for their Child Molester, er, Hastert Rule. The most destructive thing to happen to politics in decades.

(11,607 posts)For Sandy Aid, and I think to avoid the fiscal cliff. I assume Ryan has that option as well, unless they changed the rules.
