Any chance the prez will start saying "Don't like the 'tax'? back the Public Option!"?

That's what somebody that WANTED the party to win big would do.

It's time to open this up again and use this ruling for the people's advantage, for once.

No! Obama was the one who made a deal with the insurance companies and took public option upaloopa Jun 2012 #2

off the table.

I really don't understand the giddiness about the public option or single payer here. How many repubs in the House do you think will vote for a public option or single payer? How did we just get a filibuster proof Congress? You seem to not want to accept reality!

It would be a campaign line.

Obviously we're not gonna get it through the Boehnerhaus-but we COULD make them defeat it on a roll call vote before the election...and host viewing parties so people could WATCH them vote it down and get pissed. So people could SEE these bastards defend the idea that healthcare should be a commodity and a privilege, rather than a natural human right.

(also, Obama took single-payer off the table...NOT the public option. He just accepted the defeat of the public option in the orginal bill).

Using it to push for Medicare for ALL would be another approach..since that wasn't technically taken off the table either.

NY Times Reporter Confirms Obama Made Deal to Kill Public Option

snip:

This should be big news. Even while President Obama was saying that he thought a public option was a good idea and encouraging supporters to believe his healthcare plan would include one, he had promised for-profit hospital lobbyists that there would be no public option in the final bill.

You do realize that this is the same president who was elected as an adamant opponent of same-sex marriage.
