'I Was Naive': Trump Supporters Who Were on Strike, and Lost, Fear for the FutureAfter a pitched battle with management, Momentive workers have seen their healthcare and retirement benefits slashed.
By Dominic Rushe, Tom Pietrasik / The Guardian February 25, 2017
Workers went on strike at Momentive last November hoping to fight off a new contract that would have slashed their healthcare and retirement benefits.
The industrial action started in the white-hot heat of the election, and many of Momentives workers voted for Donald Trump, whose appeal to blue-collar workers helped Trump comfortably beat Hillary Clinton in Saratoga County, Waterfords district.

(11,686 posts)him was happening across America. He obviously did not pay attention because it was right there on the news, in papers, in magazines, and all over the internet. Only an idiot or a person who chooses to close their eyes and ears would not know what is going on across the country.

(12,448 posts)They're crawling out of the woodwork now that the ugly reality is slowly penetrating their thick skulls. They voted for a man who CLEARLY is a racist, misogynist, xenophobe, homophobe, a self-proclaimed billionaire(?) whom they believed cared about middle-class workers. And now they're surprised that he has shown zero inclination to help them!
Sorry, I have NO sympathy.
