(51,105 posts)a terrorist attack. The moose attack was the best they could come up with. A "lovesick" moose attacked a wooden moose and, according to the report, humped the wooden moose "thrice."

(58,785 posts)manatees procreating on a boat ramp in front of god and everyone. But I guess one will have to be Trump before they hit the news. He is kind of shaped like one...
Maybe it was already discussed here, but for real news, this guy was a senior member of the NSC.
WASHINGTON -- A senior Trump administration official was fired following criticism in a private speech of President Donald Trumps policies and his inner circle of advisers.
Craig Deare, whom Trump appointed a month ago to head the National Security Councils Western Hemisphere division, was on Friday escorted out of the Executive Office Building, where he worked in Washington. ...
The person who attended the Wilson Center discussion also said that Deare openly expressed frustration over being cut out of most of the policy discussions about Mexico, saying that members of Trumps inner circle, including chief strategist Steve Bannon and Trumps son-in-law and adviser, Jared Kushner, have not consulted with NSC directorates as the White House formulates policy.

(58,785 posts)certainly suggest he's a jerk, but I don't know more about him.
Let's just hope we don't actually need, like, you know...a functioning NSC.

(58,785 posts)social groups, and our DIL has plenty of people to visit with on every trip, even though she hasn't lived there for decades. If our son and DIL took their children to live there, they would belong to the same group she once did. And if we went with them, we apparently would at least have official entree. This structure must be breaking up some, I would think.
It's the very long winters and dark months I'd have trouble with, but there's a whole lot to like anyway, including gorgeous springs and summers.

(58,785 posts)But I know what you mean. Our entire national history has occurred during periods of rushing, incredible change, and a large majority our people left behind heir support structures to come from all over the world. We don't have the same deeply embedded cultural ways that so many older regions do.
I find what this graph says fascinating. World population growth--almost horizontal for 10,000 years after a growth spurt with the Agricultural Revolution, then took off like a rocket with the Industrial Revolution beginning around 1750 in England. We've hardly had a decade since in which life wasn't changed in some significant way, and certainly every decade after the first 100 years has contained its own revolution, or revolutions, in how we live.

(90,816 posts)by your way for a nosh though.
Trump would give a speech about millions and millions of bad frogs swarming across the border because of some judge. His fans would cheer and if they came across one, they'd think "pretty frog" and touch it. But they wouldn't have to feel bad about their treachery for too long.
They are pretty.
