I think that what the Democrats are marching and protesting for is the principled stand. It is the right thing to do as an American.
But I do not know how politically popular it is with the majority of Americans?
But it would not matter if more people voted for a Muslim ban than against it? It is still the right stand to take.
It's probably a good place to start?

(14,167 posts)The Trumpfans I work with are celebrating the #Muslimban. They believe this is a Christian nation and feel even more kinship with Trump for doing exactly what he said he would do (which, honestly, is fairly unique for a "politician" .
I loathe this man with the force of a thousand suns. But Trumpistas are loving it, no matter how unkind or unconstitutional the administration's actions have been.
The only way people like this change their mind is for this moron's incompetence to begin hitting them in the pocketbook.
