What is with Jennifer Holliday? What is she thinking?
Also, Flo Rida, who I have only heard of, for a million bucks. Guess he has a price.

(27 posts)As it seems, a quick Google search reveals that Flo Rida is not going to perform at Trump's inauguration.
Flo Rida has a very interesting place in the world of music. His career is somewhat of an anomaly and I could go on for hours about the man.

(6,934 posts)pretty recently by someone in their 20s who had just figure out his name spells Florida. There were several others who agreed. I saw it the first time I saw it in print. Kind of pitiful.
CaliforniaLove
(27 posts)I guess if you only ever heard his name spoken (Flow Ride-Uh) then it makes sense but...
You don't notice that "Flo Rida" is Florida with a space in the middle? That's pretty clueless.

(27 posts)Toby Keith's career would have been just fine without his 9/11 song.
And out of the 40 - 50 or so hit songs that Toby made from like 1993-2012, only a few had that kind of edgy patriotism to them. Maybe a few more on top of that had deeply conservative themes (such as Beer For My Horses being an ode to the death penalty).
3 Doors Down is a Rock band that was decently popular from 2000-2004. They're best known for they're songs "Kryptonite", "When I'm Gone" and "Here Without You". Their last charting song was in 2011.

(14,860 posts)Radio stations in my area would play that shitty Toby Keith 9/11 song along with their right-wing propaganda to invade Iraq, as if they were related, so I've hated that song and Toby Keith ever since... hatred by association.

(36,929 posts)2) who gives a shite what the right wing thinks? There wouldn't even be a march if people considered their wee little misogynistic fee fees. Fuck them and the shitgibbon they rode in on.

If he's silent then his silence is worth a million words. His very presence says it all.

(36,929 posts)In an open letter, provided exclusively to TheWrap, the Dreamgirls star apologized to the LGBT community, saying she was uneducated on the issues that affect every American at this crucial time in history and for causing such dismay and heartbreak to my fans.
The Tony and Grammy winner came under fire from some of her fans on Friday after it was announced that she was set to perform at a concert as part of Trumps inauguration festivities.
Holliday, considered a longtime LGBT ally, explained that she changed her mind after reading a Friday Daily Beast story titled, Jennifer Holliday Will Perform at Trumps Inauguration, Which Is Heartbreaking to Gay Fans.

I think I'm the only dem around here...oh well, I won't be watching or partying either way...
