Fast & Furious - GOP only became upset when a white person was killed

It has already been documented that Fast & Furious began under Bush - well before Obama took office. As someone in another thread pointed out, Issa actually voted to fund the operation!

However, it wasn't until a white American was killed that the right-wingers - lead by the NRA - started to feign their "outrage". Now they are in full spin control, trying to deny any previous links to Bush. I don't think it's any coincidence that the targets of their outrage - Holder and Obama - both happen to be black.

The GOP and their NRA puppet masters didn't give a shit when Mexicans were being killed.

Bush was even President? I mean nothing happened between 01/20/01 to 01/20/09. We were in sleep mode. Fast and Furious sounds more like Clinton. LOL!

And then use it as an excuse to rescind the Second Amendment. That's the conspiracy theory that the right wing nuts are circulating.

"This is a Justice dept scheme that intentionally put weapons in the hands of Mexican drug cartels. At least 1 border agent died and countless Mexican citzens. For a plan that was most likely concieved to support the attack on the Constitutional Rights of Americans. "

F&F began in Oct. 2009. Bush was not president. Bush had a program , Wide Receiver, which was shut down in 2007. The two programs had different objectives. WR targeted drug cartels in Mexico. F&F targeted American gun dealers. Two different programs.

The right-wing propagandists have been all over themselves trying to distance Bush from this fiasco.

wins a cookie.

However, even if it began under Bush, why did Holder's DOJ allow it to continue for 2+ years? Why did the number of guns allowed to "walk" go through the roof? NRA conspiracy aside, the whistleblower's testimony is disturbing.

Either way, the truth (the whole truth) needs to come out. This (US guns being intentionally allowed to cross border, and ultimately kill 200+ people) is a legitimate scandal, and someone (in one or both administrations) should be held accountable.

Nope. He's threatening contempt charges over internal deliberation documents after February 4, 2011. That's the date of the Weich letter to Grassley asserting that the Justice Department had not sanctioned gun walking. Issa doesn't want the truth about who let guns walk. As far as I can tell, that's already been established by his committee and they've moved on. Issa's fishing for emails calling him a cocksucker, basically. It's total bullshit.

I pointed out that they are going to be a lot more aware of and thrilled with the Dream Act policy. And they, like most Americans, probably don't have any idea what Fast and Furious even is.
