With news that the CIA confirmed Russias explicit intent to help elect Donald Trump as President, Republicans now stand at a crossroads. They may either choose to admit they were wrong to literally thwart the President from informing the public as he intended to do, or they may continue obstructing investigations into the biggest presidential scandal since Watergate.
Leading the Republican charge to continue unofficially colluding with Russia to install Donald Trump as President is Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY). In September when confronted with insurmountable classified evidence compiled by the CIA confirming Russia was literally interfering with the U.S. elections process, McConnell chose partisanship over national security. He literally threatened to poison President Obamas warning to the nation about that intelligence (had Obama chose to go public) by calling it political posturing to elect Hillary Clinton.

Graham actually stood between Russia and Trump before WaPos blockbuster news on Friday. Earlier that week he told press, We cannot sit on the sidelines as a party and let allegations against a foreign government interfering in our election process go unanswered because it may have been beneficial to our goals for the moment.

This is the dilemma now directly facing Republicans. Whether they choose to act responsibly or to kowtow to partisan pressure or potential Russian blackmail is yet to be seen. - Peacock-Panache.com

Sit back and enjoy the show.
I don't think it is a good idea to piss off the CIA.

Money.
Money.
Money.
That is all they give a fuck about.
The GOP/RNC has finally proved they aren't American. They aren't here to make the U.S. a strong nation.
They are only here to serve the rich, and make sure the rich make as much money as possibleeven if it means treason.
Fuck the rich!

(17,135 posts)We are now facing the dismemberment of the United States of America, and they were derelict in their duty to defend this nation.
I am a loyal Democrat; I am an Obama supporter and a Hillary promoter; but I am as enraged as I can be with all of them.
Jesus Christ, this is what you've been keeping your powder dry for. Now it's been soaked with republican piss, and it's worthless. And they stand there pissing on you and laughing.

If he was right and shit got thick like it is now then he'd at LEAST have some good I Told You So reasons to start up investigations !!!
If the situation was reverse there's NO DOUBT the GOP president would've said there was a tilt towards the other candidate and not blinked an eye

(135 posts)That's the symbol of the USSR -- and the Communist Party.
News flash! Russia isn't communist any more.
Russia is an oligarchy, with the meaningless trappings of faux democracy.
Kinda like what the US of A has become.
Yes, there are still communist in Russia. I fact, they are the largest minority party in the Russian Duma (parliament).
Before we all wax eloquent about "The Russia Menace," might we not take a little time out to study Russian politics? The facts are "out there."
Oh, sorry, I forgot. "Facts" don't matter any more, do they?
