Republican senators need to think about how they want to be remembered in history

They can go along with Trump and approve his white supremacist picks, or they can stand up for what's right.

I'm afraid they'll go with the first choice. The path of least resistance.

after awhile they become corrupted and co-opted and start caring only about maintaining the power of their position. They might have started out with the intent to do something good for their country, but that idealism eventually gets squelched and the honorable senator turns into someone not so honorable, who is so addicted to his power and position that he'll go along with whatever needs to be done to maintain that power.

Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely. No shit.

to give their best advice and consent when it comes to approving Trump's Cabinet picks. If they will put the good of the country above party politics, they could weed out some of his most outrageous choices.
